The
LMA / Rock and Pop for Schools program has
been designed to cater for modern music education in primary / middle and lower
secondary schools, and is unique to Learning Music Australia.
The Rock and Pop for
Schools music program, educates students about modern music,
and how it is performed, through various teaching methods that are specific to
the modern music industry - such as use of tablature, and ‘learning by ear /
aural development’, whilst also being instructed on how to use traditional
notation and theory as tools to develop as modern music performers. Aspects of
traditional ‘classroom’ music teaching methodology are also used to enhance the
course delivery.

Future - Learning Music Australia continues to develop the Rock and Pop for Schools program across Australia. It is our goal to continue to expand on our exciting modern music offerings to primary and high school students, and to offer Licensing / Franchise opportunities to Music Instructors and Schools.
Learning Music Australia are also working on a new and exciting concept of offering the Rock and Pop for Schools program, as a form of assessment for young Australian Musicians, with the idea that the Rock and Pop for Schools program provides infrastructure for instructors that wish to provide students with an ‘industry based’ music course with measured and documented outcomes.
It is envisaged that such infrastructure will support learning from pre-school learning, right through to Tertiary study, and will supplement classroom based programs.
